~*~ Sunriver's Cinnamon Bear ~*~ 10/17/87 - 05/30/01
You are listening to I Will Remember You" By Sarah McLachlin
Sunriver's Cinnamon Bear thought he was a world champion squirrel chaser.. ..thank goodness he was not a squirrel catcher ! "Cinny" was a typical Sheltie and loved to herd everyone around the house and yard...of course that required a ton of barking. Barking which we now miss terribly.
Cinny could have cared less that he was the son of one of the top Shelties in California, CH Caitlin's Blaze N'Chariots, and just wanted to spend his time playing, chasing and sunning himself in our yard rather than showing in a ring.
Although he was an excellent obedience dog, he never achieved a title in that area. Cinny liked to "talk" while he worked. Something most judges frown upon in an obedience ring.
It never mattered one way or the other if Cinnamon had every title in the world, or just hoged the bed at night, he was still the #1 dog at our house and will always be missed.

Cinnamon's Last Photo
This final picture was taken while Cinny was undergoing IV infusion to help restore his kidney function. It was taken on 01/02/01 but with *dogged* determination, loving care, great veterinary supportand lots of sleepless nights on my part Cinny maintained his quality of life until 05/30/01 when he finally lost his fight with his failing kidneys at age 13 1/2 years. |

Just My Dog
~Author unknown~
He's just my dog. He is my other eyes that can see above the clouds; my other ears that hear above the winds.
He has told me more than a thousand times over that I am his reason for being -- by the way he rests against my leg, but the way he thumps his tail at the smallest smile, by the way he shows his hurt when I leave.
When I am wrong, he is delighted to forgive. When I am angry, he clowns to make me smile. When I am happy, he is joy unbounded.
When I am a fool, he ignores it. When I succeed, he brags. Without him, I am only another person. With him, I am all powerful.
He has taught me the meaning of devotion is loyalty itself. With him, I know the secret comfort and a private peace. He has brought me understanding where before I was ignorant. His head on my knee can heal my human hurts. His presence by my side is protection against my fears of dark and unknown things.
He has promised to wait for me...whenever.. Whenever..in case I need him, and I expect I will, as I always have.
Who is he?? he's just... My dog :)
