Mouse Snoozin' On My Lap

Mouse was another kitten rescued by Acinny who became one of her FurKids. Mouse was brought into the vet clinic where Acinny works as a member of a litter of four kittens who were looking for new homes. The kittens all seemed to be about 6 to 7 weeks old, except for Mouse who was much smaller than his litter mates. It was apparent right from the start that Mouse had some birth defects and was not doing as well as the others in the litter. Acinny volunteered, once again, to take this wee one home and try some TLC to see if he could catch up to his litter mates and be adopted. Acinny had no intention of keeping this kitten, after all she & her silent partner had agreed that there would be *NoMo* cats in the furkids family. After a couple of weeks of good food and loving care this little kitten seemed ready for adoption. Acinny returned him to the vet clinic, with a bit of sadness in her heart, and started trying to find him a loving home but, something else was not quite right. It seems this little guy had come down with feline distemper. He was quickly put into isolation and the intensive care began. All the weight Acinny had managed to put on him soon disappeared and he was once again a scrawny skeleton of a kitten. Each day as Acinny tended this waif in his isolation cage at the vet clinic he crept deeper and deeper into her heart and soon Acinny promised him that if he lived he would become the 7th cat and 9th furkid in Acinny's home! Either this little guy had a very strong will to live or it was that promise but soon he was once healthy and back home with Acinny's other furkids....but....there was not suppose to be another cat in this family....well then why not a *Mouse*!!! So that's how a cute little sickly kitten with multiple birth defects became a Mouse!
