Yes, this cat's name really is *NoMo* which means "no mo' cats"!
NoMo
came into Acinny's life as one of four abandoned kittens found in a dumpster at a clothing store near the vet clinic where
Acinny works. The litter was brought to the clinic and Acinny volunteered to raise them until they were old enough to find homes.
The kittens were only about 8 to 10 days old when they were found. Their eyes were just beginning to open and they were hungry, very hungry!
Raising four very young abandoned kittens is not the easiest thing to do and often one or more will not make it but all of this litter had a
strong will to survive and soon Acinny was looking for new homes for *Enie, Meenie, Miney & "Moe" (that was *NoMo's* name when he
was simply one of a litter of four).
All the kittens had to be vet checked
one more time before they could be adopted and it was at that time that "Moe" was diagnosed with ringworm.
The other three were ringworm free so they found homes within a day of being offered for adoption but poor little "Moe" had to go back home
with Acinny and be treated until the ringworm cleared up.
You can probably guess that while "Moe" was being treated he "wormed" his way
right into Acinny's heart and found his new home as one of Acinny's Fantastic FurKids! But, Acinny already had 5 cats and her "Silent Partner" spoke up
and said that this kitten's name better by *NoMo* because there would be "no mo' cats" at Acinny's house....yeah....right! :-)
